The ring is made of 925 sterling silver, and the shell is additionally gold-plated. The surface of the ring band is matt brushed.  

The partial gold plating is a thin electroplated gold layer. Its durability depends on the wear and tear from everyday use, such as housework, gardening, sports, swimming, showering, sauna, etc. Such wear is not a defect. The gold plating can be easily renewed at any time.
